Kids to Move works only with volunteers. This is our choice: we only want to work with people that are prepared to work with their heart and soul, ànd this way we can minimize the overhead costs.
As a volunteer you feel connected to our mission and our projects. Your contribution is a large one: the work you do on site plus the costs of your journey. One of the ways to finance your trip is to ask your family and friends to sponsor you. Ofcourse we offer you our assistance when needed.
Your contribution makes Kids to Move a succesfull and costeffective initiative. This has its own kind of reward: unique working experiences and contact with the local people. You will work in a circle of soulmates, together for the same goal. You will experience the power of a good team. And the wonderful opportunity of giving these ‘forgotten’ children a seed which may blossom in the future. You might just be the difference between surviving and joy of living.
The children will certainly impress you. Many are traumatised, so you may have to deal with painful and difficult situations. We will support you in dealing with what you encounter and will make sure there is a good support network for you after returning home.
